Endocrine Oncology QuiltThe Endocrine Oncology Center treats thyroid cancer through coordinated efforts of a team that includes an endocrinologist, a thyroid surgeon and a nuclear medicine specialist. Most patients with thyroid cancer can be cured if the cancer is detected in its early stages and treated appropriately.

The Center provides services for the following types of cancers:

  • Thyroid
  • Endocrine or hormonally secreting tumors

Screening and diagnostic services:

  • Thyroid aspiration
  • 131 I scans
  • Dosimetry
  • Radioisotope scans

Cancer management, treatment and rehabilitation options include:

  • Thyroid surgery
  • 131 I therapy
  • External radiation
  • Radiofrequency ablation
