Admissions Testing Center

The Admissions Testing Center (ATC) provides diagnostic testing that must be completed prior to surgery. Pre-surgery testing may include a history and physical, a chest X-ray, and/or an electrocardiogram. These tests are conducted by a nurse practitioner and lab personnel. Testing is done by appointment or on a walk-in basis from the physician's office prior to the surgery date. Patients must pre-register at the ATC at least 30 minutes prior to their appointment. The ATC is located in Room 1A-101, near the East Circle Entrance and is open:

• Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Testing services are provided to patients scheduled for general surgery, A.M. Admission, or outpatient surgery. The results of tests performed at other labs are accepted to avoid unnecessary duplication. Testing should be completed within six weeks of the surgery date. The results for all diagnostic studies must be in the ATC at least three working days prior to the date of surgery.
