Screening, Genetics and Early Detection

We offer many screening and prevention programs for the members of our community, who may be high-risk for developing cancer.

Our free community education program explains ways to reduce the risk of cancer. Programs focus on different types of cancers and offer education materials and information.

Our free lecture series keep the community informed about cancer prevention and early detection, diagnostic screening, treatment options and general wellness.

Colorectal Cancer Series - (202) 877-3915
Held every March, this interactive symposium marks colorectal cancer awareness month, with an event that educates people about colorectal health and positive lifestyle modifications.

Ovarian Cancer Series - (202) 877-3915
Held every September, this interactive symposium marks Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, with an event that educates women about ovarian cancer risk factors, diagnosis and treatment.

Prostate Cancer Screenings - (202) 877-3915
In recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, free PSA blood tests and digital rectal exams are offered to community members during this screening event in September.
