President John Sullivan presents the President’s Award for Personally Making a Difference to Trizah.

When you need someone to help you turn an event into a celebration, find Trizah Hawes. As director of Catering, Trizah routinely pulls off what many would consider to be impossible — taking care of last-minute catering requests for large groups, professionally and without complaint. Her long record of accomplishments makes her the latest recipient of thePresident’s Award for Personally Making a Difference.

Trizah has managed countless associate events, including the Ice Cream Socials, holiday celebrations, SuperStar receptions and retirement parties. She also designed the Party in a Box for this very award.


According to her supervisor, Patrick McDonald, director, Food and Nutrition Services, Trizah is open, direct and honest, with an ability to stimulate her team members into taking pride and ownership in their duties to keep catering events exciting. He adds, “She communicates expectations clearly and verifies that everyone understands the level of service and quality she’s driving toward.”
“Trizah is more than a catering manager; she has become a master storyteller. Her elegant approach brings each story to life in a special and unique way. With each challenge, she rises above all expectations,” writes Nadine Wethington, assistant vice president, Learning and Culture. “Many departments know is Trizah is handling their request, it will be taken care of.”
