MedStar Washington Hospital Center is the largest private teaching hospital in the nation’s capital. The hospital has 926 beds and offers a full range of specialty services. The medical staff includes over 300 employed and full-time contract physicians and 1,500 private attending physicians. Each year, the Hospital Center admits over 46,000 patients and manages more than 341,000 outpatient visits and over 70,000 emergency department visits.
