Endoscopy

Endoscopy is used by ENT physicians to view the upper airways, inside the nostrils, throat and vocal cords. This is normally done by inserting a tube down the throat called a flexible scope. A light source inside the scope is necessary so the camera attached can transmit pictures. Flexible scopes use fiberoptics to transmit light and images, so that your doctor can see inside your body.
