Robert M. Henshaw, MD
Clinical Expertise
Robert M. Henshaw, MD, is the director of the Division of Orthopedic Oncology and director of the fellowship program in Orthopedic Oncology at the Washington Cancer Institute. He is the current vice-chairman of the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He is also chief of the Division of Orthopedic Oncology and an associate clinical professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Additionally, Dr. Henshaw is the director of Orthopedic Oncology at Children's National Medical Center and is a consultant to the Surgical Branch, National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Henshaw has been specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal tumors since joining the Hospital Center faculty in 1997.

- limb sparing surgery and innovative methods of endoprosthetic reconstruction
- use of cryosurgery in the treatment of bone tumors
