Tamika Auguste, MD

Tamika Auguste, MD, is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Women’s and Infants’ Services. Committed to improving the safety of our patients, Dr. Auguste is the physician representative to the Perinatal Patient Safety Project (PPSP) and is Coordinator of the Obstetrics Simulation Lab, where physicians, residents, and medical students have the unique opportunity to practice real-life obstetric scenarios in the safety of a lab, using a state-of-the-art robotic patient.

Dr. Auguste also works in partnership with the Unity Health Care group, providing obstetric and gynecology services in the Unity community clinics. Her special interests are high-risk pregnancy and general gynecology.

Training, Education

Dr. Auguste completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, after graduating Cum Laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Research

Dr. Auguste’s research projects include:

  • Development and implementation of Obstetrical Emergency Simulation Training
  • Incidence of abnormal triple screens and quad screen results in an ethnically diverse inner city HIV and pregnant population
