MDL has a Customer Service Section to meet the needs of our customers and clients. All calls to the Department are routed through the automated phone system directly to Customer Service. Customer Service representatives can answer questions about test ordering, results, specimen requirements, add-ons tests and some technical issues, or can transfer your call appropriately. Through the automated phone service, each call is answered in the order it is received. If all Customer Service representatives are busy, you will be asked to hold for the next available representative.
Client Service Specialists are available to handle all questions and concerns regarding laboratory services. The Client Service Specialist is the direct link between the client and all areas of the clinical laboratories. Experienced representatives are able to quickly respond to your requests for test information, patient result information or supplies. Client Services will forward technical questions to the appropriate technical department. Client Services will also forward billing issue questions or concerns to the appropriate billing staff member. Client Services may be reached at (866) YOUR-LAB or 202/844-6471.

Our Courier Service provides regularly scheduled pickups, customized to your individual needs. Couriers are equipped with the necessary materials to ensure proper transport of specimens, in compliance with Department of Transportation Guidelines. Courier service is also available to accommodate STAT pickups. To request changes to your scheduled pickups, call Client Services.
