
Christal Surowicz, MS, CCC-A, is the senior audiologist at Washington Hospital Center. She has been at the Hospital Center for two decades. Christal has extensive training, experience and expertise in diagnostic audiology and hearing aids. She is a cochlear implant audiologist who is skilled in all aspects of cochlear implant work, including mapping, troubleshooting, candidacy evaluation and intra-operative monitoring. She is proficient in Spanish and American Sign Language.
Additional Training, Education & Research
Christal received her MS from Gallaudet University. She has participated in two clinical studies involving cutting edge audiological research. She was involved in the National Institutes of Health’s first case of implantation in a patient with Von-Hippel-Lindau syndrome, and in other research regarding clinical applications of otoacoustic emissions.
