The fellowship curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary understanding of pelvic floor disorders. The clinical curriculum includes experience in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery; minimally invasive and robotic surgery; colon and rectal surgery; urology; and plastics.
For graduates of an Ob/Gyn residency program, the fellowship spans three years, one year dedicated to research and two years for the development of clinical expertise.
For graduates of a urology residency program, the fellowship is two years in length, one year dedicated to research and one year for the development of clinical expertise.
Fellows assume progressively independent clinical responsibilities under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including fellowship trained urogynecologists, a minimally invasive surgeon, colon and rectal surgeons, urologists and a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist.
