
Sarcoma and bone cancer overview
Sarcomas are tumors that occur in bone or in soft tissue, such as muscles, fat or nerves.
Primary bone tumors originate in the bone. Secondary tumors begin in a different part of the body and spread to the bone. Primary bone tumors are less common than the many other cancers that spread, or metastasize, to the bone from other areas of the body.
