Small Bowel

Patients with small bowel disease may need to consider a small bowel transplant or intestinal surgery. The MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute has the only small bowel program in the nation’s capital, and is one of only a handful of Medicare-approved centers nationwide. The Institute is the combined strength of the transplant teams at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, so that you can benefit from both.
