Wisdom Teeth Removal

Your wisdom teeth are your third molars in the back of your mouth. Your oral surgeon, orthodontist or dentist may recommend removing your wisdom teeth for the following reasons:

  • Your wisdom teeth are impacted (trapped) before they have a chance to erupt (come through the gum line)
  • The teeth become infected
  • The teeth are affecting your other teeth, pushing or crowding them, causing poor alignment, which is harmful to your teeth and jaw health
