At the Hospital Center, our surgeons receive extensive training with our robotic surgical system. Despite its name, "robotic surgery" does not mean a robot is performing the procedure. Your surgeon controls the entire surgery, directing every motion.

Colorectal

Our colorectal robotic surgeons perform:

  • Proctectomies
  • Proctopexies

Gynecologic Oncology

Our surgeons use the robot for the following surgeries:

  • Uterine cancer surgical treatment
  • Early cervical cancer surgical treatment
  • Prophylactic (preventive) surgery, for women who tested positive for certain genes that cause breast cancer and may be associated with ovarian cancer
  • Complex resections of benign pelvic or ovarian disease
