Welcome to Blood Donor Services!
If you wish to donate blood at Washington Hospital Center, please call 202-877-5250 to schedule an appointment or just walk-in!
The Blood Donor Center is located in the main lobby of Washington Hospital Center at:
110 Irving St., N.W., Rm 1010NA
Washington, D.C. 20010
Hours of Operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8am - 4pm
Tuesday, Thursday: 8am - 6pm
All Donors MUST:
- Be In good general health.
- Be at least 17 years old (no upper age limit).
- Have no high-risk factors for HIV or hepatitis .
- Have no history of viral hepatitis after the age of 11.
- Have no cold, flu, or symptoms of illness for at least seven days before donating.
- Have no less than 8 weeks between blood donation appointments.
- Eat a healthy meal & drink plenty of water prior to donating.

international travel or health concerns related to the following:

- Allergy shots
- Antibiotics
- Blood pressure
- Cancer
- Cholesterol
- Colds
- Dental work
- Diabetes
- Stroke

- Hepatitis / liver
- Kidney
- Malaria
- Other medications
- Pregnancy
- Tattoos or body piercings
