Vascular Technologist
Washington Hospital Center SuperStar 2010
I had just graduated from George Washington University, and was in search of a technologist position in vascular care. I was attracted to Washington Hospital Center because of the complex tertiary care environment and the associated high acuity levels. I immediately formed a bond with fellow associates and a connection to the diverse population served by the Hospital Center. The ability to learn from the physician leaders in the Vascular Lab was second to none. The Hospital Center has supported my professional development and encouraged me to advance within the system. Working at the hospital has allowed me to maintain a balance between my professional and personal life.
David Zwerski, director, Heart and Vascular Services, says Raswork “consistently provides a high level of clinical care, maintains a professional demeanor, and is full of compassion for the patients he serves. His overall contributions to care can be measured in the example he sets everyday. I was very proud to have Ras named a Hospital Center SuperStar; it really meant a lot to me and to the entire team. He works closely with his fellow associates, and is seen as a leader and a role model. He helps to establish the highest expectations and standards for the team. I would tell anyone thinking about joining the Hospital Center team that Ras is just one example of many throughout the Hospital Center who are dedicated to serving the community, and treating our patients as if they were a member of our own family. We really believe in our Patient First motto.”
