Community Health
Welcome to Washington Hospital Center's Community Health Links site. This site provides you with access to and information about health care initiatives and all of the exciting programs happening at Washington Hospital Center.
The Hospital Center has served the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland and Virginia communities for the past 40 years. We have demonstrated a solid, visible commitment to these communities through our various programs, services and activities. Take the time to search through this site, there is a lot to see here!
A genuine commitment to deliver the best possible medical care is one of the missions of the Hospital Center, and that care does not stop at our front door. It extends into the community with a variety of outreach programs and services that are designed to promote health and wellness, as well as improve health access, status and resources. The Hospital Center provides more than 40 different community benefit programs, with an estimated annual hospital contribution that exceeds more than $10 million. From community service to charity care- that exceeds more than $33 million annually- we understand that health care is not about money, but about commitment and providing our patients with the highest level of care no matter the ability to pay.
