How to Refer a Patient

Any physician, health care professional or health care agency may refer a patient to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Some medical specialties accept direct referrals, others require physician-to-physician referral. Referrals for outpatient visits to one of the Hospital Center's specialty clinics are made by direct appointment.
