Samer S. Najjar, MD
Samer S. Najjar, MD, is the Director of Heart Failure at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He specializes in advanced therapies for heart failure, including the medical management of heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices.
Prior to these positions, Dr. Najjar was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, and he was the Director of the Heart Failure clinic at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He was also the Head of the Human Cardiovascular Studies Unit at the National Institute on Aging.
