Neurologic Oncology Center

The Neurologic Oncology Center provides state-of-the-art treatment for primary and metastatic brain tumors and other central nervous system tumors.  We have the most advanced equipment in our operating rooms, including microscopic stereotaxis and ultrasound laser.  The Center offers the latest technical devices for spinal tumors, from stereotactic microsurgery to laser treatment to replacement of vertebral bodies.

Advanced treatment options
Gamma Knife is the most accurate tool for treating brain rumor and other neurological disease without open brain surgery. This minimally invasive alternative to conventional grain surgery allows for a safe and effective treatment, typically with fewer side effects.  As a result, this is an outpatient treatment.

The Trilogy™ System, the first in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, combines the best, wide-ranging technologies used in radiation oncology today into one high-powered precise and fast unit, which also offers stereotactic radiosurgery capabilities. Various chemotherapies are available, including the use of intratumor placement of glidel wafers.
