Treatment Services
The most effective treatments for peritoneal surface malignancies are a combination of surgery and chemotherapy. Depending on the type of cancer you have, and how far it has grown, you may receive chemotherapy before, during or after the surgery.
Our team will evaluate you before determining which treatment approach to use.
Types of peritoneal surface malignancy treatment
We offer several types of treatment services, including:
- Cytoreductive Surgery and HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) Open technique—this surgical procedure removes any cancerous tissue and uses a warm chemotherapy bath immediately following surgery on the inside of the abdomen to destroy any remaining cancer cells
- Neoadjuvant chemotherapy—this is chemotherapy given before the surgery
- Chemotherapy—this is a description of all the different types of chemotherapy we use in treating peritoneal surface malignancy
