We were the first hospital in Washington, D.C., to add the Trilogy™ Linear Accelerator, one of the world's most sophisticated radiation treatment devices, to our cancer treatment services. We are the only hospital in the D.C. area to offer Gamma Knife® radiosurgery for brain tumors. We are also the first center to have the most advanced Computed Tomography (CT) Simulator, the GE Discovery. This new Simulator has 4D motion capabilities and a larger bore (opening) for better simulation, with up to 40 percent less radiation exposure for the patient.
