Obstetrical Dilemmas in the Pregnant Patient with Diabetes: Simple Solutions?

Course Description

This one-day conference will focus on the prevention and management of diabetes-related obstetrical complications and the dilemmas that exist today in the treatment of these patients. Complications to be addressed include simulations of diabetes in pregnancy, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhage. Furthermore, new technologies in the treatment of diabetes in pregnancy will be discussed and demonstrated. This course will employ the review of evidence-based studies, hands-on simulations and roundtable discussions in order to educate the learner about these complications and methods to address them.
